Debut Single from Swindy (2016) Featuring Jonathan Russell as a guest Vocalist

lyrics

We had a love like a fire
Burning bright as the sun
Under the pillar of desire
Now I watch it as it all comes undone
I was the mason
Of our foundation
Now I cry as I deconstruct everything we were
A demolition of our institution
Had many problems, but had no solutions.

We were so young
We were so cool
We were so pure
Now its all confusion
We were so smart
We were so strong
We were so hot
Now its dissolution

I can not get it back
all has gone away
and I can’t take it back
love has faded away
but I don’t want to give you up
the sanctity that she betrayed
I don’t want to lose our love
Everything goes away
I can not make it stay
all has gone away
Why’s it got to be this way?
the sanctity that she betrayed
I had to get away
Everything goes away
I just had to get away
I just had to get away

we chipped away at one another
until each other crumbled down
we used to be such lovers
and now were broken pieces scattered on the ground
I was the mason
Of our foundation
Now I cry as I deconstruct everything we were
A demolition of our institution
Had many problems, but had no solutions.

We were so young
We were so cool
We were so pure
Now its all confusion
We were so smart
We were so strong
We were so hot
Now its dissolution

I can not get it back
all has gone away
and I can’t take it back
love has faded away
but I don’t want to give you up
the sanctity that she betrayed
I don’t want to lose our love
Everything goes away
I can not make it stay
all has gone away
Why’s it got to be this way?
the sanctity that she betrayed
I had to get away
Everything goes away
I just had to get away
I just had to get away
just had to get away
